My reply to Peter:

Hi Peter,

I can only tell you that for the
Trend Shadow system, best time is 10.30pm-3am (Singapore Time, GMT +8.00).

When entering at that timing, I find that you get less “trading noise”, i.e. inaccurate signals due to irregular movements.

Whereas for Trend Forex 2.0, if you’ve been looking out and second guessing yourself if there were opportunities within the last 24 hours, no there weren’t – at least not on the 1H and 4H. So don’t be too hard on yourself! Hahahaha. Many of the currency pairs were testing their respective resistances. Given the frequency, I do expect a breakout in the direction past the resistance. You may use some breakout trading methods to capture this movement.

If there’s no trend in place, don’t try and imagine a trend and do something stupid. Many traders make that mistake, including me, just the day before!

Read your Ebook on “Trend Cross” which came with the Trend Forex 2.0 Bundle (Those who haven’t gotten their Trend Forex 2.0 – it’s OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT, however, unofficially, you may get it at http://www.asianwealth.com/trendforex.html). it’ll be useful for sideways days like today.

Cheers,

Julian

Reply to a Question on Windows XP SP 1 Running MT4

Here’s a reply to a very essential question… Windows XP SP running MT4. If MT4 don’t work, we can’t trade!

Jason asked via email:

Julian,

I have been having an issue being able to run the trend setter program. The program opens fine
but after 15 seconds a popup comes up indicating a critical error has occured and the program
closes. Do you have any ideas on how to resolve this? I attached a copy of the popup window. I
have tried many stock trading programs with average results and hope to make this one work.

Have a great day!

Jason

My Reply:

Jason. You need to get Windows SP3. SP1 sucks like hell.. If that’s absolutely impossible, I highly recommend you set the timeframe of choice first before applying template. MT4 screws up like that on ALL Sp1s I’ve come across.

It’s hassling… but it’s the best fix for a buggy OS.

Other thing u can try is reinstall ur mt4 programme and get the latest update.. but u need to upgrade ur windows. don’t get the vista though.

Many of you will experience such a problem with your MT4. Sans any template, it works fine. But plonk on a template and try changing time frame…or even before that.. and the program just goes into “Not Responding”, and you’ll have to restart it, and you find that your workspace will be reverted to last normal shutdown, and you’ll have to re-apply every damn template again.

Tip: Load all currencies you plan to trade to the 1H or 4H timeframe you’re keener on.. and Then plonk on with the Indicators… either the Trend Forex 2.0 (if you bought one) or Trend Shadow. And then… CLOSE THE PROGRAM. Restart the program again.. so this time even if it crashes.. all your timeframes and templates will be there.

Reply to a question via email: Will Trend Shadow work on other currencies or timeframes?

Hey guys… I thought I’d stop to do some FAQ with you. One of the many folks on my list asked me a question that I thought was really good.

Charles asked:

“Hi

Can you advise please whether the Trend Shadow program will work on other
currencies or other time frames. Seems to work well.

Pls adv.

Charles”

So here’s my reply that I thought I ought to share:

Thanks for your enquiry! I notice that you’ve followed me even on my old site.

You asked me if Trend Shadow will work on other currencies or timeframes,

If what you really meant to as is, will Trend Shadow work on any other money
market, i.e. Stocks and Commodity Futures, the answer is no. However,
if you’re talking about currencies.. Yes, it works on all currencies except
USD/ZAR because ZAR is not a 24 hour currency and thus you will be exposed
to daily gapping. I don’t really recommend you trade that currency either,
too little volume.

In fact, I highly recommend you enter at least 4 currency pairs at one time.
Throw in a Bollinger Band indicator also. Use the Bollinger as a filter, i.e.
for a short trade, enter the trade if the Trend Shadow signal coincides with a
movement AWAY from the upper band, or middle band. The reverse is true
for long trades. I personally enter up to 9 currencies at a time.

Works best on main currency pairs. Reason why enter several is that,
the signal isn’t always 100%. But, I’m looking for NET PROFIT every time
I enter the market. Typically, out of 9 trades, I’d profit on 7, and lose on 2.
If I’m in 6 trades, I might profit on 5 and lose on 1.

The currency pairs that have made me the most money are:
GBP/USD, USD/CHF, USD/CAD, NZD/USD, AUD/USD, EUR/JPY,
USD/JPY, EUR/USD, EUR/GBP.

Hope this helps! It’s a very good question. Hope you don’t mind if I
repost this in my mailing list. I think others may have the same concern.

Meanwhile, have an inside look on the Trend Forex 2.0 here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI3DGWh5Qro

It’s got many good indicators to have an even higher % success
on trades than the Trend Shadow.

More info on it HERE

Good trading,
